In every instance below, we are using positive affirmations, although in different ways.
1. Spoken Affirmations – Habituation / Repetition
We create new habits through repetition. Repeat positive affirmations to yourself twice daily using the methods mentioned below.
Make Lists of Affirmations on Your Smartphone
The subconscious mind is like a hard disc drive with infinite available memory. The conscious mind has fairly limited memory — hugely limited in comparison.
For whatever you desire, make a list that you can either remember easily or can store on your smartphone as a recording. You might also feel like making several different playlist of affirmations for various different aspects of your life; wealth, health, love, etc and play these back each day as you desire. Each list can be separate or you can combine affirmations to address multiple areas of your life in one succinct list. So, for example, you could speak the following list each morning and evening, with feeling, to address your love life and financial status:
I am very wealthy I am so grateful to be experiencing complete abundance in every area of my life now I am so grateful I am immersed in the flow of complete financial abundance and prosperity I am deeply loved and supported by the Universe I am romantically desirable I am so grateful to be in a wholly fulfilling, lasting romantic relationship
Make sure that when speaking them, you feel you are already living them and act as if you are to the best of your abilities, but never force emotion. If you really feel connected with them, the feelings that will arise from speaking them will be completely natural. It’s natural feelings and thoughts that really penetrate and take root in our subconscious minds.

Different Types of Recorded Affirmations
- Affirmations recorded in your own voice
- Affirmations recorded by someone else (there are plenty of such videos on YouTube videos available)
- Affirmations recorded by someone else that are subliminal (our hearing range does not pick them up) and recorded on a high vibratory frequency such as 528Hz (the frequency of love). For example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=icXsnHd_Vdk&t=8s
All must be listen to at night, whilst the conscious mind (the ego) is switched off. This bypasses it so the affirmations or new beliefs may be accepted by the subconscious.
2. Theta brainwave affirmations
Listen to brainwave affirmations at night when sleeping through headphones. Use whilst sleeping (once you disconnect your conscious mind, your brain enters a theta brainwave state). Many powerful brainwave affirmations are widely available for free on Youtube. There are subliminal affirmations for virtually everything and anything; better health, weight loss, more money, greater romantic relationships, more fulfilling friendships, faster hair growth, and so on. You can create a playlist for free within Youtube and listen to them with headphones at night whilst sleeping.
If you find it uncomfortable to sleep with headphones, you can buy headbands that contain flattened ear phones so you can sleep on your side without any problems. If you have tinnitus, sensitive ears or hyperacusis, you will still gain the benefits of the audio tracks by listening at very low volumes. You must listen to the tracks for 21-30 consecutive days in order to see the effects. Your conscious mind should start to change too.
Whilst asleep, the theta, gamma brainwave affirmations are able to bypass your critical faculty, penetrate your subconscious mind and take root.
3. Self hypnosis
Your own voice is accepted more readily by your subconscious. Through meditation, you can easily reprogram your subconscious with new positive beliefs. Effects are immediate.
Once your conscious mind gets disconnected, your subconscious mind is open and ready to receive new beliefs and programs. Once the new programs have been installed, they are permanently installed. Hypnosis sessions can be quite expensive, which is why self hypnosis, which may also be more effective, should be considered.
When you install new positive beliefs or programs the subconscious mind will do 95% of the work for you on auto pilot.

How Long Does it Take For Affirmations to Work?
You’ve had these limiting beliefs since the age of seven or younger so go on easy on yourself.
It takes around 21-28 days for your mind to create new neural pathways and accept the new affirmations as true through repetition.
